WOOD&GOO is a project developed in four months of work in colaboration with David Gallego Barroso, under the coordination of the teacher Moises Blanco Caballero. This project it´s placed into the studies of Degree in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering in the Universidad de Valladolid.
THE OBJETIVE
To complete the entire process of design a product , focusing on the design of a bike.
THE SOLUTION
Plywood bike, urban, ecological and fixie style.
WOOD&GOO was conceibed as a university project with the aim of integrate a revolutionary design in a bike.
Our key points we pretended unify into the design were, an urban style, ease to transport, price competitiveness, ecology and practicality among others.
The final result was a fixie plywood bike with all necessary stuff to ride safety in the street. Without forgetting that you can fold it to carry into any car trunk.
The innovative folding system allows to reduce the volume of the bicycle almost half. Then you can transport it easilly in your car boot or in public transport using an special suitcase.
This bike is made in laths of Plywood that are assembled with parts of stamped steel.
The bike design is inspired in fixie models.
Security and design
This project has participated in some design constest. We also designed a smart web, banners, cardboard presentations, etc.
